You want to explore anothe city in South Korea? if you have been traveling to Seoul so far, Gyeonggi province will be the second place you have to go. Korean Folk Village is a great place to journey into the past to experience the wisdom and wits of Joseon dynasty. You will learn about the late period of Joseon Dynasty and you can make your own Korean pottery. Maybe you once watched the movie 'Ghost'. You will see one couple making pottery by holding holding pottey wheel with their hands. You can be like them in this tour! Be a movie star at pottery workshop.

When you get there
First your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 8:30am. You will go to Gyeonggi province. It takes around 1 hour from Seoul to Gyeonggi by car.
 
Then, you will watch one of performances which take place in Korean Folk Village. Korean Folk Village includes the daily traditional art performances like Farmer's Music and Dance, Tightrope Walking, Horseback Martial Arts and Traditional Wedding Ceremony. Farmer's Music and Dance is a street parade or dance choreography accompanied by acrobatic moves while playing the drums and wind instruments. You will see how Korean folk gets married in the past. Also, you get to enjoy different festivals and traditional ceremonies all year around.  
Along the streets, you will find traditional shops where you can see some crafts which were made in the ancient times.
 
For lunch, you will have marinated grilled beef ribs near Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. Gyeonggi province is well known for marinated grilled beef ribs. Your guide will take you to nice marinated grilled beef ribs restaurant.
 
After Lunch, you will look around Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. Hwaseong Fortress is an impressive structure from the latter part of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and the official fortress of Suwon-si, Gyeonggi province. The fortress wall stretches for a total of 5.52km and has a great variety of military facilities that are hard to find anywhere else. Four gates face each of the cardinal directions—Janganmun (north), Paldalmun (south), Changnyongmun (east), and Hwaseomun (west). 
 
You will head to Icheon Ceramics Village. Icheon Ceramics Village is one of the largest ceramics villages in Korea. Icheon Ceramics Village produces traditional Korean ceramics, which are of high quality. The village became the center of traditional pottery during the Joseon Dynasty.
 
There are many pottery workshops in this Village. Your guide will take you to the best pottery workshop where you easily learn how to make your own pottery. You will take an instruction from pottery master before making your own pottery. After making pottery, you can take your own pottery with you. If you want it to be delivered to your hotel. We will delivery it to your hotel(delivery fee is included). You will go back to Seoul and your guide will drop you off at your hotel.
 
Itinerary

③ Watch Korean traditional performances(Farmer's music, acrobatic on tight rope, martial arts on running horse)
④ Lunch: marinated grilled beef ribs near Suwon Hwaseong Fortress
⑤ Explore Suwon Hwaseong Fortress
⑥ Drop by Icheon Ceramics Village
⑦ Make your own pottery at pottery workshop 
*Ceramic Experience Program : 
 1. Watching video tape or listening to the history and the characteristc
    of traditional Korean ceramics by using a projector.
 2. Listening to traditional Korean ceramics when
    looking around the tradional furnace
    (Q & A on ceramic making process) 
 3. You can see drawing or lettering on the primary ceramics
    (not baked) made by the famous ceramic artist . 
    And Making ceramics by clay with own hands by pottery wheel & Ceramic coloring
4.Setting fire on the traditional furnace or watching
   the scene of getting tradional ceramics from 
   the furnace are available by previous engagement.
   (This course is changeable upon situation. )
