- Overview
The site is registered in UNESCO as Haeinsa Temple Janggyeong Panjeon, the Depositories for the Tripitaka Koreana Woodblocks. The temple itself dates back to 9th century, leaving an unparalleled significance in history and architecture. It is one of Korea's three major Buddhist temples(called the Three Jewels) and is an important pilgrimage site.

- When you get there
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Busan at 8:00 am. Then you will be headed to Gaya National Park In Hapcheon where Haeinsa Temple is located. It takes about 2 hrs to get to Hapcheon. First, you will see great place to take a break from your hectic daily routine and have the time to look back with a picturesque landscape behind. It is Junam Wetlands in Dong-eup, Uichang-gu. People call this place ‘Paradise of Migratory Birds where People and Nature Coexist in Harmony. Junam Wetlands are one of the largest habitats of migratory birds in Korea.
After the largest bird habitat, when you arrive at Mt. Gaya National Park, It’s spectacular in all seasons starting off with the cherry blossoms and azaleas in the spring, lush green forests in the summer, dazzling foliage in the autumn and a wonderland in the winter. Within the park, you can visit the famous Haeinsa Temple. The temple houses 6791 volumes of Tripitaka Koreana, equivalent to the Bible or Koran. After Haeinsa Temple, you will have lunch near here. Hapcheon Hwangto Hanu(barbecued beef) is widely loved by food lovers who visit Hapcheon. Lunch will be barbecued beef. Korea-raised beef is expensive in Seoul. In Hapcheon, however, it is relatively cheap. Worth a try!
After Lunch, you will return to Busan. It takes around 2 hrs by car. Your tour concludes as your guide drops you at your hotel in Busan.
